PRACTICE TAX &
ESTATE PLANNING DEPARTMENT: The
Department's tax planning practice includes advice in connection with tax and
debt restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, executive compensation, regional
joint venture tax implications and other personal tax planning work.
The Department also advises clients on the establishment of companies in
offshore jurisdictions and in connection with double taxation treaties in
order to reduce withholding taxes on royalties and other income. GENERAL
CORPORATE SERVICES, CORPORATE & FINANCIAL SERVICES: The experience of lawyers in this department includes
project finance and project work, privatisations, a wide range of syndicated
facilities, capital markets, mutual funds, regulatory compliance, direct
investments, acquisitions, joint ventures and foreign investments, offshore
companies, fund set up and administration. PROBATE
AND TRUSTS: The firm assists
clients in the preparation of wills, Powers of Attorney and Lasting Power of
Attorney and advises on the substantive law relating to and the practice involved
in obtaining grant of probate and letters of administration, in the
administration of estates, the collection and distribution of assets
belonging to an estate to respective beneficiaries. The department also
